A biker captured a wild row with a driver after they came head to head on a country road in Cornwall. In a video that has gone viral, the biker can be seeing getting off the bike with his daughter before the exchange happened.

While the video is from 2022, it has recently recirculated on Facebook and caused quite the debate. In the footage you can hear the argument as the biker explains: "I can only go forward, I have no reverse gear, I can't go back" hoping the driver will reverse and make way.

But the driver seems to doubt that his bike has no reverse gear, she can be heard saying: "You should not be in a place like Cornwall then. If you've not got reverse this time of year."

The biker goes on to explain there's only two motorcycles in the market that have reverse gear, to which the driver replies: "That's a load of rubbish." The biker then heads back to his motorbike and the driver is seen reversing her car.

The video was initially posted on YouTube with the caption: "Bimbling through Cornwall with daughter in tow – and I find a delightful lady who informs me of the errors of my ways. I shouldn't be driving if I only have two wheels.

"I shouldn't bring a bike to Cornwall if it doesn't have a reverse gear (at this time of year). The notion that there is only currently a couple of (mainstream) bikes with a reverse gear is rubbish, apparently. I feel so much more informed now.

"If only everyone had a K1600 or Goldwing, or a Guzzi for that matter. No, that's a daft idea – no-one would buy a Guzzi, surely?"

People were left flabbergasted by the confrontation and waded into the comments section to share their thoughts. One commenter laughed: "She has to go back like 10 feet. She shouldn't be in Cornwall." Meanwhile, another agreed: "If they can't reverse a car they shouldn't be driving, especially here."

And a third said: "Whoever it is easier for, should reverse. Had it been an arctic lorry, I would imagine you would have turned around."

Most motorcycles do not have a reverse gear due to their weight, size, and complexity compared to cars, according to Bike Pics. Riders can reverse by walking the bike back.
