A brand new burger restaurant has just launched in Cornwall and it's proving to be a huge hit. Native Burger opened its doors earlier this week and has already got five-star reviews rolling in.
Also offering takeaway, the new venture says it's a 'low-key' burger joint working exclusively with only the finest quality of meats. It opened this week at Westgate Street in Launceston and is the brainchild of a local butcher brand.
It's got a delicious-looking menu of exclusively burgers, chicken and loaded fries - from the more fiery 'Twisted Fire Starter',' brimming with pepper jack cheese, jalapeño, onion and sriracha mayo to add a kick, to 'The Workout,' a barbeque-y beef patty with brisket, bacon crumb and more.

Those behind it say it hopes to 'reinvigorate the social community' of Launceston. A spokesperson said: "Philip Warren Butchers (PWB) and Luke Taylor, PWB head of operations and Hubbox’s former head of food, are excited to announce the launch this week of Native Burger in Launceston, Cornwall.
"Opening today, the low-key 20-cover premium burger shop launches in the site that originally housed the butcher brand in Launceston. Butchers and graziers since 1800, the PWB business has since moved to a larger site on the town’s outskirts from which it continues to cement its reputation as exemplars of the finest of butchery excellence."

Working exclusively with farmers in the South West and handling only grass-fed indigenous breeds, PWB meat is favoured by some of the UK’s finest chefs and restaurants, including highly accoladed ones like The Ledbury, Ikoyi and Paul Ainsworth at No6.
Native Burger exclusively showcases Philip Warren meats in a concise menu featuring what seems like burger shop classics like cheeseburgers, fried chicken and loaded fries but with provenance of product paramount to the offering. Beef from the butchers, just a mile down the road, is unrivalled in quality and flavour, expertly dry aged and taken from sirloin and rump.
The spokesperson says the meat "sits perfectly" in burgers like the 'Twisted Fire Starter' featuring a beef patty, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, jalapeño, onion and sriracha mayo for £7.50 and 'The Workout' think Double beef patty, pulled beef brisket, bacon crumb, lettuce, BBQ sauce and mayo.
You’ll find chicken too, in dishes like the Finger Lickin’ Chicken for £9.50 with buttermilk fried chicken topped with mayo and lettuce. Buttermilk fried chicken tenders - from £5.95 - come as you like, either 'Plain Jane' with a dip of your choice from homemade barbeque sauce to Southwest.
Stephen Whiffen left a five-star Google Review that read: "Great to see a quality food outlet opening in our town, providing an eat-in, take out or delivery service."
Eleanor O'Mahoney gave the same rating, saying she was "so happy to see this new burger restaurant on the square". She praised: "Delicious hand-cut chips, super tasty burger with meat from the outstanding local butcher Phillip Warren, in a bun made by a local baker. Lovely people, too. They were so busy and they stayed very calm in the chaos!"
Simon Catling adds: "Just wow a real meat burger that's cooked to perfection. It's a wait for your food but you won't be disappointed. All cooked fresh to order. Thank you for the perfect meal."
Native Burger is open Wednesday through Sunday from 3.30-9pm but on Saturdays it opens even earlier, from 12.30pm.
