Every year the NHS surveys patients across the country about the care they receive from their GP surgery. Patients are asked to give their opinions on their practice on a range of different topics, from overall experience to how easy it is to contact the surgery and how much they trust their GP.

The majority of patients (79 per cent) across the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care System area said that the overall experience at their practice was “good”. Only two other areas in England had higher satisfaction ratings.
One in 10 in our region, however, said that theirs was “poor”, though that’s better than one in eight (13%) nationally.
Our region’s top GP practice was Lostwithiel Surgery where 100% of people said that their overall experience was “good”.
That’s followed jointly by Quay Lane Surgery in St Germans and St Agnes Surgery at 97 per cent each, then Chacewater Health Centre at 96 per cent and Narrowcliff Surgery in Newquay at 93 per cent.
At the other end of the scale, only 49 per cent of patients at both Petroc Group Practice in St Columb Major and Mevagissey Surgery rated the practices as “good”.
That’s followed by Veor Surgery in Camborne at 61 per cent and Medical Centre Camelford (Dr Nash) at 62 per cent.
