Superdrug has slashed the price of a coveted designer fragrance to less than half its usual selling price. The bargain deal is causing excitement amongst shoppers looking for premium scents at affordable rates.
Known for its range of health and beauty buys, Superdrug is now offering a steal for perfume enthusiasts. Marc Jacobs fans can now grab a 100ml bottle of Honey Eau de Parfum for a mere £32. The price tag is a significant markdown from its regular £99 cost, meaning customers can pocket nearly £70.
The hot deal was shared on popular Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, where bargain hunters share top finds. Group contributor Shan alerted fellow members, writing: "Run, don't walk, to Superdrug! 100ml Marc Jacob's honey down to £32 from £99 and it smells DIVINE!"
The response to the discount has been overwhelming, so much so buyers can now only get the perfume in stores. Customers can use Superdrug's 'store availability' feature by typing in their postcode to see a list of local stores stocking the perfume, which can be ready to reserve and pick up within half an hour.
Superdrug's website is also listing several other discount fragrances, including Calvin Klein's Euphoria for Her Eau de Toilette (100ml) at £30, reduced from £75. There's also Versace's Woman Eau de Parfum for £24 - initially priced at £66.
On Superdrug's website, the 'floral' Honey perfume is described as 'enticing'. The store adds: "The fragrance energises with the freshness of green pear brightened with a splash of fruity punch and juicy mandarin.
"At the heart of the fragrance is orange blossom, a note of sparkling femininity that mingles with nectars of honeysuckle and peach, honey, vanilla, and smooth woods dry down to a warm, golden base."
The perfume currently has a customer rating of 4.6 out of five stars. One reviewer said: "Love this perfume. It suits my mood in many situations. Works well for work, going out or just to brighten my day."
Another wrote: "Amazing fragrance. Fresh and lovely. Bottle is amazing." A third penned: "This perfume is amazing! I've loved it for years it's sweet but very complimenting and not overpowering. I always get complimented when I'm wearing it."
Julie typed: "Love Marc Jacobs and this is one of the nicest. Smells lovely and lasts all day." A fifth gushed: "I own up to 40 fragrances and this one is by far my favourite! It's fresh and not too sweet. It smells very happy and sits on the skin very well."
However, not everyone was in agreement, as John claimed: "Not keen with the scent, smells like soap, not a typical MJ." Chris also put: "Smells soooo good. Love the bottle. The perfume on my skin only lasts about 4 hours, not sure if that's the norm but doesn't seem long."
In other deals, Boots is also slashing prices on a range of perfumes, including Juicy Couture's Viva La Juicy Eau de Parfum, previously priced at £55 but now available for £27.50. Vera Wang's Princess is another bargain, with a 100ml bottle now just £26, down from its original price of £66.
If you are a fan of Marc Jacobs, Sephora is selling the Daisy Dream Forever Eau de Toilette for £44 - it was originally £88. The fragrance's ingredients include blackberry, blue wisteria and white woods, which "leave a lasting impression of luxurious, airy succulence."
