A man has died following a crash on the A30 in Penzance. Emergency services were called to the scene of the fatal collision, involving two vehicles, at around 6.45am today (Friday, August 2).
A white Ford Transit Connect and a white Isuzu Grafter light goods vehicle were involved in the crash, which was located between Eastern Green and Treneere roundabout earlier today. Devon and Cornwall Police has confirmed the driver of the Transit, a local man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene by Cornwall Air Ambulance paramedics.
The A30 remains closed in both directions while an investigation is carried out. Devon and Cornwall Police are now appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the collision.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a road traffic collision on the A30 at Chyandour, Penzance between Eastern Green and Treneere roundabout at around 6.45am today, Friday 2 August. The collision involved a white Ford Transit Connect and a white Isuzu Grafter light goods vehicle.
"Emergency services were called to the scene and the driver of the Transit, a local man in his 60s, was sadly declared deceased at the scene by paramedics from Cornwall Air Ambulance. His next of kin have been informed.
"Officers from Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team attended the incident and carried out a detailed investigation of the scene.
