A biker has suffered life-changing injuries in a crash near Newquay. Emergency services were called to the A3059, at Spitfire Corner, at around 9.05pm yesterday (Thursday, July 25) where a collision involving a motorcycle had taken place.
Both the male bike rider and male pillion passenger, the person riding on the back of a motorcycle, were taken to Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske. The biker was then found to have sustained potentially life-changing injuries and was transferred to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.
The pillion passenger sustained minor injuries in the crash, Devon and Cornwall Police said. The road was closed while a collision investigation was carried out. Officers from the Roads Policing Team have thanked members of the public and local residents for their patience during the investigation.

Devon and Cornwall Police are now appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the crash, or has dashcam footage which might assist the investigation.
