The owners of a secluded private beach known for hosting weddings and night time gigs, has decided to make it easier for staff so they no longer have to spend the day carrying beer kegs up and down steep steps - by installing a zip wire.
The pully system was set up at Lusty Glaze Beach in Newquay to stop staff having to carry heavy beer kegs up and down 133 steps. The beach and bar are privately owned but are difficult to access, meaning having to carry heavy fresh beer kegs and empty ones up those steps can take two members of staff all day.
Events manager Robin Parris told the BBC: "Everything used to go up and down by hand, including the kegs. "The big ones, two people at a time, on a stretcher in the old days, but now things are a little bit quicker."

He said the aim of the new contraption was to 'make life easier' for all staff and delivery teams from the various breweries supplying the bar.
Morgan Perkins, a member of staff, also told the BBC: "It makes it so much easier. Normally carrying these kegs down would take all day... because it's normally a two-person lift."
Now, thanks to the zip wire pulley system the team can now get 20 kegs down onto the beach in two hours. Mr Parris added: "It was just born out of practicality. What can we do to make life easier, save some legs, just get things done quicker?"
