An up-and-coming burger restaurant is expanding this summer with a pop-up restaurant on the south coast. HERD, the award-winning restaurant, is launching its first south-coast pop-up at Shoreside, on Crinnis beach, in Carlyon Bay.

Earlier this year, HERD, which opened less than a year ago, was a finalist in the tenth annual National Burger Awards and is set to compete against industry heavyweights from across the hospitality industry.

It is the latest foodie pop-up to join an expanding lineup on Carlyon Beach, in St Austell Bay, and will bring a summer menu of proper cheeseburgers and fries made with custom bread buns by Baker Tom, native beef patties from third-generation family butchers Aubrey Allen, and a host of homemade secret sauces, dips and gravy made from their braised beef brisket cooking juices.

Shoreside beach venue has become the go-to spot by the sea on the south coast for local food, live music, water sports and wellness activities.

Jeremy Kneebone, Shoreside beach venue manager, said: “We’re stoked to be welcoming HERD to our community of local food pop-ups and know they’ll be a brilliant new addition. We’re all about delicious food and drink and bringing people together to enjoy the best of the beach.”

HERD at Shoreside will be open from 12-9pm, seven days per week from July 8. For all the latest news and What’s On and menu information please follow @Shoresideatcarlyon and @herd.burger on Instagram.
