A previous version of this article said Watson was looking for a local choir to perform with him after we were given inaccurate information.
Russell Watson is to perform at Truro Cathedral. The tenor is extending his Magnificent Buildings tour with six new dates in September.
The tour has taken in some of the country's most historic abbeys and cathedrals and at each date Russell is supported on stage by a local choir. In some places, vocal ensembles can apply but not in Cornwall, unfortunately.
The show will see Russell performing classic songs together with a selection of his most loved hits from his illustrious career. He will be accompanied by his arranger and pianist Mike Moran.

He said: "It was an honour to perform in some of the UK's most beautiful cathedrals in 2023 earlier this year. These venues have a special place in the hearts of so many people and I am honoured to be able to perform in them and carry on sharing my music with fans old and new."
Once described by the New York Times as a performer "who sings like Pavarotti and entertains the audience like Sinatra", Russell has sold more than 7 million albums and performed for the likes of the late Queen Elizabeth II, The Pope and two US Presidents. His albums and live performances have won him numerous accolades including four Classical Brit awards.
Russell will be at Truro Cathedral on Monday, September 23. The new dates on the tour will also see him head to Exeter Cathedral, Bath Abbey, Christchurch Priory, Stoke Minister and St Nicolas Church Newbury.
