Take a trip through Cadbury's Christmas past with rare unearthed photos of treats through the decades
Recognise any of these old favourites?
It's nearly Christmas, and you know what that means - gorging on chocolates and treats for breakfast. Some are able to restrain themselves until after the big dinner, though nobody knows how they manage it.
For kids, that's an absolute dream come true. But for most reading this, being kids was a while ago - so what did chocolate at Christmas time used to look like?
To help answer that, the lovely archivists at Cadbury have unearthed some old pictures, retail material and adverts that show us what they used to sell at this time of year. Modern favourites like the Milk Tray and discontinued legends like the Skippy bar all feature in the gallery below - though not in their usual forms.
We're all quite used to standardised square and rectangle packaging these days, but there used to be many more shapes and colours on offer in the good old days. Go and find the Cadbury Roses lantern, or the Santa's cabin advent calendar, and you'll see what we mean.
Take a journey through time with this unique look back through Cadbury's history. Let us know what memories they spark for you!
